Vintage Railway Steamer Trunk Coffee Table

Lovely and unusual vintage/antique steamer or railway trunk. It has its original dark mustard exterior paintwork and blue interior, plus a fabulous brass latch system that I haven't seen before, which securely closes the lid. It's been thoroughly cleaned and protected with beeswax to help preserve the lovely patina. As with all my vintage pieces this has bumps and blemishes that reflect its previous life adding to its character and charm - this has obvious wear to the surfaces and some dents including one to the top of the lid. At some point metal reinforcements have been added to the front corners of the lid. The brass latch functions as intended (slide across one way to open one latch then back the other way to release the second) it's in great condition apart from one section where the brass coating has broken off (see picture).
