Vintage Robert Tinnyunt jug with lid - stoneware
+ £4.99 delivery (1-3 days)
A lovely studio pottery stoneware jug with lid by Robert Tinnyunt. Burmese potter Robert Tinnyunt was born in 1940s and settled in England in 1962. He worked David Leach at Lowerdown Pottery before and setting up his own Westward Pottery in Kingsteignton in 1970. He is known for his stoneware pieces such as this jug which have a wonderful tactile nature and highlight the texture of the clay. This large jug would look wonderful in a rustic farmhouse kitchen for use as a water jug or even as a vase. It features a very light semi transparent glaze over the body with a double black line around the rim and black handle. The lid has a single low black knob in the centre. This is a vintage item and so may show signs of its previous life. There are two small chips to the spout and some very light crazing which is commensurate with age. Please see photos for details. It is approximately 16.5cm in height and 11.4cm in diameter at the widest part. The base is approximately 9.6cm wide and the lid has a diameter of 7.4cm. At Wand Vintage Interiors, we are committed to sustainability. Your item will be carefully wrapped in eco-friendly, 100% sustainable packaging....more
