A classic example of mid century modern West German art pottery. This piece is by Schramberg Majolika-Fabrik (SMF) in the Milano pattern and features striking graphic leaves on a black background. This is a vintage item and so may show signs of its previous life. There is a 3mm chip on one corner. There is also a 2mm mark on one side, possibly due to manufacturing as it looks like it is under the glaze, and the surface of the centre has some defects in from the manufacturing process.
