A scarcely seen mid century sideboard designed by Richard Hornby, manufactured by Fyne Ladye Furniture and originally retailed through Heals, 1960s. Superb craftsmanship throughout, carved from solid from Afrormosia with beautiful cut away handle detail, reeded drawer fronts and the signature Hornby bevelled edge to the top. The drawer fronts are super thick and reeded, a design feature of Hornby sideboards. The shelves are removable if you need to store larger items. The top drawer still retains the original black felted cutlery dividers. The 'hidden' tray which has a cream / black formica lining and can be removed completely from the sideboard. With two doors, two shelves, and four drawers, there is plenty of storage space for all your needs. In good unrestored vintage condition. We have cleaned this sideboard but it will still show minor signs of wear through age and general use to the top. Please review the photos – happy to answer any questions.
