This is a vintage advertising mirror from Southern Comfort. The mirror itself is a piece of Americana memorabilia, showcasing the iconic picture of the Mississippi in stunning detail, as well as the bold logo and calligraphy wording information. The wooden frame is mid to dark in colour and nice vintage condition, with only minimal signs of wear and tear on its authentic patina. The intricate border of the mirror is finished in a matte noir colour scheme, adding to its overall aesthetic appeal. The drink was first created by a bartender named Martin Wilkes Heron, who was the son of a boat-builder, in 1874 at McCauley's Tavern located two miles south of the French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana. The original name of the drink was Cuffs and Buttons, and it was served at McCauley's Tavern, which was situated just off Bourbon Street, as per the New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau.
