A beautiful gilded sunburst frame, unusual in that it has shades of teal green over part of it, giving an almost verdigris effect; this is only the second I've seen with this design. All the rays are intact with only small areas of wear in a few places - I've given it a gentle clean then waxed and polished it to preserve the patina. There is a fixing on the rear to allow it to be wall hung vertically - this could be altered so it hangs horizontally. A fabulous statement piece that could be displayed individually or in a group. As with all my antique and vintage pieces this has evidence of its previous life adding to its uniqueness, character and charm.
