A pretty vintage jug made by Taylor & Kent. It has a bold blue floral design with large flowers and leaves with a touch of yellow and orange above a grey brick wall hinting at a larger garden beyond. The jug has a scalloped rim with gilt; the loop handle of the cup has the same accents. The mark dates it from 1939 onwards. It measures 11cm tall, 11cm from tip of handle to spout and 7cm across. There is one tiny blemish on the jug which does not detract from the otherwise good condition. We are listing other pieces in the range and have other trios available. Taylor and Kent was founded in 1876 and controlled by the Kent family who closed the pottery for the duration of World War II.
