Beautiful medium tone rattan/wicker trunk with generous dimensions. A beautiful rustic addition to your home. A very attractive Victorian Vintage basket with handles, lid and with original rawhide (leather) edge binding Stunning piece in superb shape with solid handles and galvanized steel locks and hinges. Bamboo frame to the lid. Made from wicker with a wooden runners to the base to enable strength to the basket, as these baskets were probably used in cotton mills, and moved around the factory floor, they needed strength at the base, it has two twisted handles on either side of the basket. C1930 This would make a unique and beautiful laundry, plays room storage, coffee table or log basket. Condition: In very good vintage condition. wear and tear commensurate with age.
