Vintage wood canvas and leather steamer trunk

Vintage steamer campaign trunk. Fabric over plywood frame, with reinforced leather corners featuring brass rivets, leather carry handle and brass fittings. With part preserved original luggage label, dated 15 August 1947. the trunk to at least leather carry handles. Owner initials stencilled onto the lid. It’s full of vintage character, with appropriate age and usage related knocks and dents, including rips to the outer fabric. Leather handle is worn, but still serviceable. The corners are all reinforced with leather end caps and brass rivets. The underside has wooden banding, which is unbroken. There is a central lock, as well as brass fastenings on either side. Fastenings and lock in working order. There is no key for the lock. There are also brass hinges at the back of the lid. Leather strip with brass rivets also holds the lid in place.
