Fabulous ceramic bluebird wall plaque - from the 1940s or 1950s, I think. Beautifully modelled and painted and the first of its kind I've seen - these birds are an obsession of mine so I can safely say it's rare! The back is stamped but the letters are indecipherable - it's possibly by Bretby art pottery. Dimensions approximately: 18.5cm x 19cm As with all my vintage pieces this has evidence of its previous life adding to its character and charm - this is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Please note that the bird needs to be hung carefully, I've found a nail that protrudes quite far out of the wall is most suitable....more
