Even with expert help, we are struggling to determine the artist who made this amazing piece. This is signed, "Ellis" - which could be Robert Ellis Williams. An expert said they knew of a sculptor, however not a painter, however who is to say they didn't try to paint as well! This is most certainly from the 1960's as well, called 'Zero Plus Three' as written on the frame on the back of the piece.It has a very heavy handed application, moody, with outlines of what appear to be people seated.
