A modernist still life painting, captured in oil with abstract brushstrokes and bold colours. Featuring a still life scene with wine, fruit and flowers. Signed by the artist to the lower left. Czech Postwar artist Bohumil Samuel Kecir was born in 1904 and studied in Paris. As a survivor of the Holocaust, he created much of his work while being admitted to a psychiatric hospital as a patient post-war. His works have been exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), North Miami. Larger works by the artist have achieved auction results of circa €2,000.
