Modernism is in the detail. I love these Dansk Design candle holders, which mimic the traditional inkwell. The design would have been overseen by Jens Quistgaard in the late 1960s. Lovely in this oversize size too - rare but worth the wait They capture how modernism wanted to enter the home, and banish decoration-for decorations-sake.
