Falstaff Claret Jug in Silver Plate Bacchus Mask

Falstaff, Silver Plate & Pressed Glass, Claret Jug with Bacchus Mask Spout - c 1950's. Vintage English. Pressed Glass with Silver Plate Flip Top Lid and Handle, Bacchus Mask being the Greek god of fertility, wine and pleasure. This elegant claret jug is in good vintage condition no chips or cracks, clean inside with lovely detail to the spout, handle and finial. There are some areas of the cuff of the lid that appears to have been rubbed with the wrong cloth or brush and this has made a slight change to the metal. This is not very noticable when not in a stark light as in the images but please check this in images prior to purchase. The lid has a flip style lid that opens easily as it should. the inside of the lid and opening is in very nice, clean condition. This beautiful vintage claret jug is perfect for wine, water or other drink and is very quirky with it's very unusual spout. The retro water jug or claret jug stands at 28cm high and 15cm width. Overall, this beautiful 1950 claret jug is in lovely condition and would make an interesting, and slightly quirky piece of drinkware to a collection.
