This segmented hor d'oeuvres serving plate was produced by Shorter and Sons in the 1930s in an Art Nouveau style. It is hand painted featuring a striking maple leaf design over a pretty wavy pattern in the glaze and has curved handles either side. There are five sections: two larger ones either side next to the two handles and three smaller sections across the middle of the plate. It is in excellent condition considering it's age with no chips, cracks or crazing. There is some slight abrasion on the underside contact points. It measures 40.5cm in length including handles, 26.5cm in width and a height of 3.5cm.
