Mid-Century Original Swedish Oil on Canvas " Houses" by GUSTAV ADOLF JOHANSSON- Vintage & Framed Dimesnions : H31 x W44 cm Condition, Both painting and Frame in very good vintage condition, with some wear Gustav-Adolf Johansson , born 6 November 1912 in Askersund , died 2011, was a Swedish painter, graphic artist and cartoonist. He was the son of the farmer Karl Johansson and Ester Grell and from 1938 married to Käthie Olsson. Johansson worked as a professional painter and in the early forties he studied drawing at the ABC school in Stockholm where he received a Paris scholarship which led to studies at the Académie Julian in Paris. He debuted in the Borås and Sjuhäradsbygden exhibition at the Borås Art Museum in 1944 and he participated in the 12th graphics triennial at the Art Academy in Stockholm in 2003.
