This is an amazing art glass bowl by Graeme Hawes and Michaela Grimshaw as part of the Bi-Me artists initiative, this is signed on the base. This is a piece from the Hawes studio 'Olive Bowl' in a lovely blue green colour Very fine glass - some bubbles present but no damage - has nice ring to it Graeme Hawes is a freelance glass maker working from his studio in Leicester's cultural quarter. He has a MA from the Royal College of Art, London and is Senior Lecturer at De Montfort University's School of Design. Graeme uses traditional glass making techniques combined with a contemporary art edge. He makes small batch productions of glass for galleries, and commissions for for bespoke pieces for individuals, hotels and lighting and chandelier companies.
