Unsigned but clealry Kay Faithful’s and came with the rest of the collection we have already listed W:84cm H:71cm D:2cm Late 20th Century Good conditions Background: Painter, born in Greenock, Renfrewshire, who after a traumatic World War II trained as a nurse and midwife, then married Will Faithful, a Cornish civil engineer. They lived in Bermuda, the Middle East, Cyprus and Jamaica before moving to Canberra, Australia, in 1972, where she was able to concentrate on painting. In 1987, she held her first major exhibition of 30 large works, The Barrier Reef Series, at Holdsworth Contemporary Galleries, Sydney, followed by others at the Eltham and Rathdowne Street Galleries, Melbourne. In 1991 Faithful visited the United Kingdom and the continent for her first overseas exhibitions.
