A rare and collectible pair of plates, designed and produced by Swedish glassworks Gullaskruf. Crafted in the 1960s, these vibrant pieces were exclusively produced for Svenskt Tenn, an iconic interior design shop founded by the visionary Swedish designer, Estrid Ericson. What truly sets these plates apart is their vibrant electric blue glass and reticulated outer rim. The captivating hue teamed with their modern yet timeless design will bring an air of opulence and sophistication to any table setting. Beyond their aesthetic appeal, these plates hold historical significance. Gullaskruf was originally founded in 1893, and produced glass bottles until 1921, when it went out of business. It was later bought by William Stenberg, who reopened it in 1927 and expanded their glassware offering to include handblown and pressed household glasswares.
