A charming expressionist still life, captured in oil on canvas. Signed and attributed to the notable artist, Kaspar Ilg. Framed in an oak canvas box frame. Kaspar Ilg was born in Berlin in 1921 to the Swiss writer Paul Ilg and died in 2011 in Hallau, Switzerland. He attended the Zurich School of Applied Arts, where he later taught, and worked as a freelance artist. In 2018, a large collection of drawings, paintings and prints by the artist were donated to the Museum zu Allerheiligen. The collection titled the "Kaspar and Anita Ilg Collection" was most recently exhibited in 2021, it also contained numerous works by well-known artists such as Hodler, Kirchner, Munch, Bonnard, Giacometti and others.
