An expressive oil on canvas, featuring a rural rooftop scene. Executed with a vibrant use of colour and gestural brushstrokes. Unsigned but attributed to the Swedish artist Ray Stalje. Provenance: Göteborgs Auktionsverk. Born in 1947 in Gothenburg, Sweden, Ray Stalje was educated at Domen Art School in Gothenburg. He is known for his expressive and vibrant works in oil and acrylic. His solo and collection exhibitions have included shows at Borås Art Museum, Gallery 54, Art Promotion Gallery Viktoria, Gothenburg Art Museum, Gallery Majnabbe and Culture Center in Gothenburg.
